I am sorry to tell you this, but Charles Baudelaire 's Birthday is : 9 april 1821...NINE, not SIX.
I am french and I am a great fan of him, so please, be carrefull of what you are saying.

Please, it would a good thing if you could just correct your mistake... It is nine april, not six... Your blog is great, therefore this mistake is just...horrible !

I have for a long time seen his birthday listed as the 6th and as on the 9th. Long time ago, I thought the resources I had consulted that said it was the 6th were the more trustworthy sources. I don't even remember now what resources I had used (I have read so many books on and by Baudelaire over the years), so I can't cite those sources.

But I consider Baudelaire fans from France to be a much more reliable source, of course! So I gratefully defer to your correction of the date.

I can't change the date heading on this entry, so the mistake will have to remain in the header. But anyone reading the entry will see these comments and that the date I cited was wrong and that the right one is April 9th.

Thank you for the accurate date!
